PFW Haute Couture Spring 2014 – Day 5: Trend #3: Muted pastels
Although we saw some gowns in striking shades of blues and reds, most of the designers opted for a toned-down palette for their haute couture outfits during day 5. We saw ensembles in pale yellow, orange, lavender and blue, but the favorites were definitely dusty rose and a muted golden hue.
PFW Haute Couture Spring 2014 – Day 5: Trend #2: Metallic accents
Day 5 of the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture runways continued presenting gorgeous gowns with embroidery, this time with sequins in metallic shades, with golden as the favorite hue. Other designers opted for golden accessories –such as buttons and belts- and lustrous fabrics to add a little extra shine to their outfits.
PFW Haute Couture Spring 2014 – Day 5: Trend #1: Dramatic ensembles
Large and extravagant are the perfect terms for defining the haute couture outfits seen on day 5 of the Paris Fashion Week. Combinations of feathers, fringes, appliqués, embroidery, lace and drapery took over the collections, which presented larger-than-life outfits reminiscent of old-Hollywood glamour.
