  • Sol Rivero

That’s a wrap, folks! The Paris Fashion Week ended yesterday, so now we’re taking the time to list the top fashion trends from the Fall/Winter 2014/2015 runways.

You can see all of our favorite looks at ourPinterest boards!

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014/2015 – Trend #5: Floral, camouflage and geo patterns

Some of the patterns that were popular for last year’s Fall/Winter season are returning for 2014. The Paris Fashion Week runways showed an interesting array of floral embroidery, geometric patterns in the shape of monochromatic lines and waves, and some designers rescued the camouflage, plaid and animal prints.

Some opted for more fun alternatives: from full painted landscapes as the ones seen at previous fashion weeks, to fashion and beauty inspired patterns, childish and magic prints, and of course this season’s favorite: pieces inspired by contemporary art.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014/2015 – Trend #4: Oversized coats

The oversized knitwear trend and large coats was back for the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter runways. Dresses and skirts with midi-length were perfectly complemented with long coats that reached the models’ knees, or even their ankles, looking like gorgeous and glamorous capes.

With either shiny fabrics or intricate knit designs or beautiful patterns, these items will be everywhere during the Fall/Winter season.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014/2015 – Trend #3: Statement accessories

The Paris Fashion Week runways were full of eye-catching and unique accessories to complement simple outfits in muted or plain hues. Large and colorful shopping totes, bright colored gloves, voluminous statement necklaces and drop earrings, and striking knee-high boots were the statement accessories which added a little extra to the Fall/Winter outfits.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014/2015 – Trend #2: Shiny outfits

Once again this fashion week proves the importance of a good old bright ensemble. From shiny fabrics in metallic tones to fully embellished pieces, the Paris Fashion Week was full of sparkly ensembles: fully sequined gowns, gorgeous coats with embroidery and eye-catching applications were some of the items seen for the Fall/Winter season.

Clothes in gold and bronze were some of the favorites, but we also spotted some shiny outfits in bright colors such as purple, blue and even turquoise.

Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014/2015 – Trend #1: Warm colors

Although the Fall/Winter season is known for employing a palette of cool hues, the Paris Fashion Week opted for something a little brighter. Although black, gray, teal and blue were still very popular at the runways, many of the designers opted for a warmer palette, with striking yellows, browns, oranges and eye-catching reds. Earthy hues are in for the Fall/Winter season.

It will also be a season for matching clothes and accessories, wearing lovely pastel colors, and creating fully unique combinations with pieces of different tones.
