Trend from the Miami Fashion Week 2014 #5: Tribal

Dresses, jackets, bodysuits…from trimming to large accessories, appliqués and even full-body patterns, tribal designs were everywhere during the Miami Fashion Week 2014. Inspired by the Latino culture, many outfits showed signs of tribal influence, creating astonishing ensembles in earthy hues.

If you prefer something different, cosmic, floral and animal prints were still in vogue.

Trend from the Miami Fashion Week 2014 #4: Pattern mixing

It was a fun and colorful runway at the Miami Fashion Week 2014. Designers decided to create elegant yet youthful collections full of movement and uniqueness, and in many cases they opted for combined prints and materials. Jackets, skirts and full outfits in fun and striking arrangements dominated the catwalks.

Trend from the Miami Fashion Week 2014 #3: Shiny

Luscious and glossy fabrics were also present at the Miami Fashion Week 2014, adding an elegant metallic shade to the ensembles, either through details or full shiny outfits. Studs, embroidery, and even large accessories in shimmering materials were some of the favorites.

Trend from the Miami Fashion Week 2014 #2: See-through

For their Resort collections, designers decided to play with sensual see-through materials to create very feminine shapes. See-through dresses in bright colors with bodysuits in clashing hues were one of the most popular designs, as well as lots of lovely lace, edgy cutouts and daring maxi-dresses with large prints.

Trend from the Miami Fashion Week 2014 #1: Body-con silhouettes

The designers present at the Miami Fashion Week 2014 took the task of celebrating the female body with gorgeous outfits and sensual shapes. Although we did see a lot of fresh and loose dresses, the favorites were definitely the body-con silhouettes, hugging and emphasizing women’s curves.

Plunging necklines and lots of leg-showing were the perfect complements for this trend.
