Spring will officially begin next week! It’s time to review the main jewelry trends for the upcoming season: Spring/Summer 2014! Check out the items you must have at your closet for creating chic and fashionable looks:

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #6: Chains

From London to Paris, the Spring/Summer 2014 collections were full of large metallic jewelry, and the main favorite for the upcoming season was large metallic chains. We saw it everywhere! From large chokers to layered necklaces, voluminous bracelets and even gorgeous statement rings. Golden was the favorite hue for these glamorous accessories, but we also saw a lot of brass in unique designs.

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #5: Sheer jewelry

It was only a matter of time for the sheer clothing trend to make its way into jewelry. For the Spring/Summer 2014 collections, accessories also took a semi-transparent spin. The runways were full of beautiful sheer large necklaces and artsy geometric cuff bracelets, sporting lovely floral motifs painted in bright colors.

For those who prefer something a little more elegant, we also saw spotted a lot of jewelry with crystals, a combination that gives the sheer trend a more glamorous look. Try it out!

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #4: Large bracelets

The Spring/Summer 2014 runways presented the female warrior trend, with unique outfits in heavy materials and intricate designs. To complement it, and adding a touch of glamour to the looks, designers opted for large cuff bracelets as their main accessories. We saw them everywhere: from voluminous metallic cuff bracelets with filigrees or applications, to large chunky bracelets with beads, stones or even pearls.

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #3: Star-shaped jewelry

It was the “it” pendant for the Spring/Summer 2014 collections! Star-shaped necklaces, earrings and bracelets were everywhere during the fashion shows, creating unique looks with their gorgeous mixture of metallic and crystals. It’s the perfect complement for the Cosmos print trend that has been turning increasingly popular, or to simply add a chic and fun touch to a plain outfit, so make sure you add it to your closet.

Some of the other favorite ornaments included necklaces with animal pendants, zodiac signs, items with talismans, earrings with medallions, and large crosses.

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #2: Tribal jewelry

The Spring/Summer 2014 collections found inspiration globally, and one of the most popular trends for the new season will be outfits with fun and colorful tribal patterns. We’ll also see it in jewelry and accessories: from beaded necklaces with an array of bright colors, to chunky bracelets with gemstones, bangles, Indian head accessories, and even jewelry with unique materials such as wood and feathers.

If you prefer something a little more subdued, than you can opt for jewelry with bright earthy colors and floral designs, which will look great complementing outfits with tribal patterns.

Spring/Summer 2014 jewelry trend #1: Pearls

The must-have accessory for the Spring/Summer 2014 season has to be pearls! We saw them everywhere during last year’s catwalks: in large chokers, long layered necklaces, earrings with crystals, large chunky bracelets and even statement rings. These classic and glamorous accessories are back with a new twist. Search for unique accessories and combinations which include them, and add a little elegance to the colorful Spring/Summer season.
